I grew up attending church on and off. Some Sundays we even rode in our pony cart to the little church a couple miles away.
It wasn’t until after I graduated that I had a true moment of undoubted faith. Shortly after Logan and I were baptized a week apart at just over 20 years old.
From that moment on our faith shaped everything. Our relationship & our choices would be much different today without our faith changing us at a young age.
We both agree that we very likely would not have gotten married had we not gotten baptized and started walking in faith.
Our faith through the years has caused our decisions to look quite strange to the world.
Like when we sold out beautiful farmhouse just after completing the renovation and moving to the city despite me always knowing I wanted to raise our kids in the country. (Our first farmhouse here)
We can’t imagine life another way now. I see God in everything. Throughout every topic of my blog he is there revealing his character and love for us. In fact that is why our first Farm was named AGAPE HILLS FARM & why I have chosen that name for my blog and YT channel. Agape is the Highest form of Love & God’s love for his created children.
I see His Love everywhere..

I See it in the sourdough bubbling up and bursting with life . He created this process to work like it does so intricately taking simple things and making something better for us and undoubtly more delicious because he loves us. He gave us so much delicious food for our enjoyment and for the good of our bodies. In the garden every spring when we plant seeds year after year I’m blown away that from tiny seeds planted in faith, out grows an entire food jungle by July!

We serve a God that loves diversity and the diversity of plants and animals on the farm never gets old. Connecting to his creation on the farm is one of my most treasured places to find rest. In fact when we were in seminary in the Chicago area I broke down when we visited a small nature preserve with a mini farm. It was surrounded by trees and well off the road. It was as if you drove out of the city and right into peace. My body rested for the first time in 9 months when we arrived.
Every spring I see his tender hand in the miracle of new baby goats chicks and kittens. (Baby goat video here)
HOLISTIC HOMEMAKER
He was the creator of the first home. Can you imagine if our homes today had the magnificent welcoming love and wonderful atonosphere of the garden of Eden.
As a mother I watch my tiny humans grow everyday. Pregnancy & birth are fresh on my mind and heart, I’ve always said I don’t understand how a woman can go through growing and bring forth a child into the world and not see God. It is a life changing experience each time I give birth I feel born into a new version of myself as well. Birth for me is soo very heavily spiritual. (My birth story here)
Throught the blog you will hear me talk on how I see God in all I do from Homemaking, on the farm & in our farmhouse kitchen.
I will never claim to be scholarly or correct. But what I hope you see and are inspired to find is the beauty of His LOVE (AGAPE) all around you, and create a deeper connection to your Food, Farm, family & Father.
Holistic farmhouse life wouldn’t be “whole” without recognizing Gods hand in all that we do blessing us and doing Good for this of us who love him.
